Risofos 35mg Tablet 4’S  Risedronate 35 mg RISOFOS 35MG contain Risedronate sodium which belongs to a group of medicine called bisphosphonates which are used to treat bone diseases. It is used to prevent and treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women, increase bone mass in men with osteoporosis, prevent and treat osteoporosis in men and women that is caused by treatment with steroid medicine such as prednisone, Paget’s disease of bone in men and women. Osteoporosis is a bone disease that develop when bone mineral density and bone mass decreases, or when the quality or structure of bone changes. This can lead to a decrease in bone strength that can increase the risk of fracture (broken bone). During postmenopausal osteoporosis the bone become weaker, more fragile, and more likely to break after a fall or strain. Paget’s disease is a chronic bone disorder which results in enlarged, deformed bone due to excessive breakdown and formation of bone tissue that can cause bones to weaken and may results in bone pain, arthritis, deformities, or fracture. RISOFOS 35MG works by slowing bone loss to help maintain strong bone and reduce the risk of broken bone (fracture). This medicine is strictly not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years. Before taking this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine. DIRECTIONS FOR USE Always take RISOFOS 35MG exactly as your doctor has told you. This medicine must be taken before food and try to take at the same time each day. It should be swallowed whole with water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. SIDE EFFECTS OF RISOFOS 35MG SERIOUS Difficulty breathing, difficulty swallowing or painful Chest pain Heartburn Esophagus or stomach problems including ulcers Low calcium and other mineral disturbances Pain in bones, joints, or muscles Jaw-bone problems (include infection and slower healing after teeth are pulled) Allergic and severe skin reactions (symptoms including rash (with or without blisters), hives, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat) Eye inflammation such as eye pain, redness, or eyes become more sensitive to light COMMON Back and joint pain Stomach upset and abdominal pain Mild flu-like symptoms HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS Abdominal pain: Try to rest and relax. You can eat and drink slowly or have smaller and frequent meals. Applying heat pad or covered hot water bottle on your stomach may also help. If still pain persists, speak to your doctor.
